The particular history of your family

On the occasion of the exhibition Picasso. German Records, Museo Picasso Malaga organized The German Mark in Málaga, a series of talks on the German presence in the city by descendants of German families who came to stay and protagonists that gave us different perspectives of a past time whose testimony survives today.

Speakers:

Teodoro León Gross Thursday 4th February 2016. 7pm Journalist Teodoro León Gross is descendant of Jorge Gross, born in Leer (Germany) who arrived in Malaga in the late 18th century. In this talk he recalled some of the episodes in the history of their ancestors.

Rafael de la Fuente >> CANCELLED DUE TO ILLNESS Thursday 11th February 2016. 7pm The former director of the Hotel Los Monteros and Marbella Don Carlos was a privileged witness of tourism development in Marbella, where promoters played a key role, such us the German-Spanish Alfonso de Hohenlohe

Ignacio Krauel Thursday 18th February 2016. 7pm The Krauel came from the German city of Rostock and on arrival at Malaga launched Krauel wineries. Descendant of these Krauel and the also the Scholtz, Ignacio Krauel talked about the particular history of his family.
