SDG15: Taking care of Biodiversity

‘Sustainable use of territorial ecosystems’ is the theme of Sustainable Development Goal number 15 (SDG15). Enrique Salvo Tierra, a lecturer in Plant Biology at the UMA, offers a presentation focusing on one of the main challenges we face today: safeguarding biodiversity. Salvo proposes a list of actions that need to be undertaken in order to preserve territorial ecosystems and address the threats faced by wild species and their ecosystems. These include managing forests sustainably, combating desertification and halting or reversing land degradation.
