Choreography and dance by Luz Arcas, winner of the Ojo Crítico award for dance, and runner-up as best female dance performer at the Premios Max awards

Bruce Nauman has explored the artistic expression of the body and the relationships it establishes with objects and the space around them, and with the person viewing them. So, the last weekend before the Bruce Nauman. Rooms, Bodies, Words exhibition closes, Museo Picasso Málaga is offering a choreographed tour of the exhibition rooms with dancer and choreographer Luz Arcas, who will be accompanied by the singing of composer and performer David Azurza.

Luz Arcas (Málaga, 1983) studied choreography and acting at the Conservatorio Superior María de Ávila, and stage direction at the Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático, in Madrid. She also studied flamenco and classical Indian dances, while continuing her training in modern dance in several European cities. In 2009, she set up La Phármaco dance company, where she further examined her own intuition regarding dance and the stage. In 2015, she was awarded Spanish national radio RNE’s ‘El Ojo Crítico’ Dance prize.

David Azurza (Tolosa, 1968), graduated in fine arts and trained as a countertenor with Isabel Alvarez. He won the Lucrecia Arana award for singing at Madrid’s Conservatorio Superior, and has been a member of vocal ensembles Capilla Peñaflorida, KEA and Ensemble Nova Lux. He has worked with a wide range of vocal, instrumental and orchestral ensembles both in Spain and abroad and has edited over 1,000 works, including choral arrangements, his own compositions, musical stories and a chamber opera.
