ENROLMENT NOW OPEN FOR THE EASTER HOLIDAY WORKSHOP AT THE MUSEO PICASSO MÁLAGA

08/03/2023

This year, when the Museo Picasso Málaga is celebrating its 20th anniversary and taking part in the international programme ‘Picasso Celebration. 1973–2023’, the works in its collection will be the starting point for the Easter holiday workshop, ‘A museum in the city’.

Designed for children aged 4 to 11, the workshop will be held in the mornings from Monday, April 3, to Wednesday, April 5. Enrolment is open today through the ticket offices and the MPM website.

How can museums make a city more sustainable as well as more fun? The children who participate in this workshop will have the opportunity to explore the MPM and its surroundings for three days, imagining its transformation through Pablo Picasso’s creative approach. Photography, drawing, collage, and clay modeling help them envision a museum and a city on another scale.

The Easter workshop ‘A museum in the city’ will take place on April 3, 4, and 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Aimed at children aged 4 to 11, it offers an artistic experience for discovering Pablo Picasso’s creative processes. In each of the sessions, the children address different concepts, all present in the MPM Collection. They first visit the museum galleries where Picasso’s works are on display and later put some of the themes and concepts into practice in the workshop area.

Enrolment is now open at www.museopicassomalaga.org and in the MPM ticket office. The cost is €75 per child and includes all materials. A 15% discount is available for siblings. Limited availability. With the collaboration of Fundación ‘la Caixa’.
