Seminar ‘Pablo Picasso: Structures of Invention’

Mar 19, 2024

An academic event that addresses the concept of the exhibition [Pablo Picasso: Structures of Invention. The Unity of a Life’s Work] (https://www.museopicassomalaga.org/en/exposiciones/pablo-picasso-structures-of-invention).

This activity will be broadcast live via streaming.

Pablo Picasso’s output as a whole reveals a coherence that has enabled us to put together an exhibition argument far removed from the conventional interpretations that classify his work by periods. Through an assortment of periods and media – paintings, sculptures, ceramics, drawings and graphic works – the Museum’s galleries will show how the artist’s astonishing creativity remained rooted in both his earlier creations and his latest innovations, presenting works produced during different decades of his career alongside each other.

The participants in this event are the show’s curator and the five experts who have put together the five complementary ‘focus’ exhibitions that examine in depth issues central to Picasso’s artistic development.
