Rainbow White
Feb 26, 27, 29 and Mar 1, 2024
Art and creativity workshops for children aged 4 to 11 during the half-term (Semana Blanca) holidays.
In connection with The Echo of Picasso exhibition, the Museo Picasso Málaga is organising four days of art and creativity workshops for children with colour as the main focus. Rainbow White concentrates on exploring the physical and expressive possibilities of colour through creative processes related to traditional techniques such as painting, collage, printmaking and assemblage, as well as developing artistic installations that encourage cooperation through play.
Taking as a starting point the viewing of works by the artists featured in The Echo of Picasso, the first day will focus on Louise Nevelson and Farah Atassi, inviting participants to create experimental pieces using found materials and collage with the aim of exploring two- and three-dimensional space. On the second day, through Pablo Picasso and Brian Calvin, they will explore different flat painting techniques, rethinking traditional representation. On Thursday, the third day, Sarah Morris and Jorge Galindo will be the starting point for learning about printing techniques and different creative and fun processes for producing full-colour images. Finally, on Friday, cooperation and play will materialise in the creation of installations with colour as the focus, which can be visited by the participants’ families.
