Posing for Picasso

In English Alongside the exhibition Picasso. Head of a Woman. Profile. The Collection in Context, the MPM prepared a parallel series of lectures by leading art historians and experts on the work of Pablo Picasso. The exhibition’s curator, Elizabeth Cowling, launched the cycle on Thursday 14 May 2009. The cycle also featured Posing for Picasso, on 11 June, a talk between Elizabeth Cowling and Lydia Corbett (aka Sylvette), who posed as a model for a number of Pablo Picasso’s works. The most beautiful one of these works was on display at the exhibition. In collaboration with the Universidad de Málaga.
