Architecture Festival

Open House has been held for over ten years now in cities such as London, New York and, here in Spain, Madrid. They are all now part of the Open House Worldwide international community, a non-profit organization whose aim is to bring architecture, heritage and enjoyment of the city to all, with tours, routes and cultural activities linked to architecture.

Located in the old town centre of Málaga, the Palacio de Buenavista is a magnificent example of 16th-century Andalusian architecture, with a combination of Renaissance and Mudejar features. The renovation and enlargement of the museum was designed by Richard Gluckman of Gluckman Mayner Architects, with Isabel Cámara and Rafael Martín Delgado de Cámara of Martín Delgado Arquitectos and the engineering company ARUP, with landscaping by María Medina. In 2006, the American Institute of Architects awarded Museo Picasso Málaga its Institute Honor Award for Architecture.
