In the occasion of Warhol. Mechanical Art, Museo Picasso Málaga is organizing this seminar in collaboration with Universidad Internacional de Andalucía (UNIA), with the aim of examining the theoretical and economic context of technically reproduced artworks and multiples from the Renaissance to our own times, and to reflect upon ideas associated with value and the democratization of culture.

The course is aimed at university students from faculties of Philosophy and Literature, Humanities, Philosophy, Fine Arts, Publicity, Social Sciences, Engineering and Architecture, Experimental Sciences and Communication Sciences, as well as members of the public interested in discovering more about reproduced artworks.

4.30pm. The Beginning of Engraving. Serial artworks from the 15th to the 17th Century. The popularization of images? Ángeles Santos Almendros. Art historian, specializing in engraving.
