'I See you’ Picasso
Sept 27, 2025
In connection with San Diego Comic Con Málaga, the Museo Picasso Málaga is hosting a drawing and comic workshop taught by Pepo Pérez taking Pablo Picasso’s oeuvre on view at the Museum as a reference.
Page design, drawing, black and white versus colour, speech bubbles and visual metaphors are just some of the topics that will be covered in this workshop, which sets out to explore the basics of comic book language in a practical way. Besides being able to draw, participants will also have the opportunity to explore the history of this means of expression up to Picasso and his work as a draughtsman.
The workshop is taught by Pepo Pérez, a lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Malaga and a specialist in drawing, comics and graphic arts. Highlights of his extensive professional career include his work as co-author, alongside Santiago García, of the graphic novels El vecino (since 2004), translated in France by Dargaud Éditeur and adapted into a Netflix series (2019–21). He has drawn hundreds of illustrations and cartoons in media such as Rockdelux, __El Periódico de Catalunya, El País, Tinta Libre, NSLM, El Manglar and El Estafador.
The price of the workshop includes all the materials.
