    Museo Picasso Málaga has scheduled three first-time exhibitions for 2019 that examine the work of three key artists: Pablo Picasso, Bruce Nauman and Alexander Calder. The result of lengthy research in the archives of Picasso’s first wife, the exhibition Olga Picasso comes to Málaga this winter, running until spring 2019. Over the summer, MPM will be showing work from European collections by unclassifiable artist Bruce Nauman. Finally, in the autumn, Calder-Picasso will examine these two artists’ exploratio

  • Picasso's South

    Museo Picasso Málaga’s exhibition Picasso’s South. Andalusian References takes a look at the history of Spanish art by displaying works by Picasso alongside valuable archaeological artefacts and paintings by great masters such as Zurbarán, Velázquez, Murillo, Goya, María Blanchard and Juan Gris, amongst others. This ambitious show moves from Iberian art through Classical Antiquity, and ends with the modern art of Picasso’s own contemporaries.

  • Pablo Picasso, Bruce Nauman, and Alexander Calder: 2019 Exhibitions at Museo Picasso Málaga

    Museo Picasso Málaga is pleased to present its shows for 2019. Next year, the gallery will host the exhibitions 'Olga Picasso', 'Bruce Nauman. Retrospective', and 'Calder-Picasso'. Each of the scheduled exhibitions will have its own programme of cultural activities, enabling visitors to discover their principal artistic and historic features.

  • POP NIGHTS AT MPM’S “SUMMER CINEMA” BRING COMEDY, MUSIC AND ADVENTURES

    Museo Picasso Málaga is once again organizing a Summer Cinema cycle with four evenings for visitors to explore Andy Warhol’s world at the 'Warhol. Mechanical Art exhibition', followed by screenings of films featuring some of Pop art’s most famous stars. The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Barbarella, The Party and Yellow Submarine will be screened on each of the four evenings, which are scheduled from June to September.
