The Museum in movement

Drawings in space

Activity for families based on "Calder-Picasso"

Saturday 28 Dec. 2019 | 11am

At these Saturday morning sessions, families will be able to explore and develop, with their own art, some of the subjects covered in the exhibition Calder-Picasso, such as movement, volume, space, and balance.

The activity will combine drawing and sculpture, using as its inspiration the works of Alexander Calder and Pablo Picasso, which feature wire and iron sculptures that look as if they were “drawings in space”.

Based on the idea of drawing in three dimensions, parents and children will explore the numerous options that sculpture has to offer, creating shapes and characters that go beyond a sheet of paper.

For children aged 4 to 12 years, accompanied by an adult, this activity includes a guided tour of the temporary exhibition and the workshop.

Tickets are 5€ per person (children also pay in this activity). Tickets on sale here and at the museum ticket office.
