THE EXHIBITION 'WE ARE COMPLETELY FREE. WOMEN ARTISTS AND SURREALISM' WAS SEEN BY OVER 66,500 VISITORS

A total of 66,653 people visited Museo Picasso Málaga to see 'We Are Completely Free. Women Artists and Surrealism', which showed the work of eighteen women artists whose work stood out on the Surrealist landscape.

More than 66,500 visitors saw the exhibition We Are Completely Free. Women Artists and Surrealism between its opening on 10th October, and its closure on Sunday, 28th January. For the occasion, Museo Picasso Málaga brought together works by eighteen artists, giving deserved focus to this group of women artists: Eileen Agar, Claude Cahun, Leonora Carrington, Germaine Dulac, Leonor Fini, Valentine Hugo, Frida Kahlo, Dora Maar, Maruja Mallo, Lee Miller, Nadja, Meret Oppenheim, Kay Sage, Ángeles Santos, Dorothea Tanning, Toyen, Remedios Varo and Unica Zürn. The exhibition catalogue containing articles by experts and biographies of the artists, along with writings by each of the eighteen artists, sold out.

Museo Picasso Málaga is now preparing its next exhibition, And Fellini Dreamed of Picasso, which will open its doors to the public on 13th February. It will bring together work by two artists who enjoyed absolute creative freedom.
