A Day with Bacon, Freud and the School of London

Saturday 6 May 2017

Activities in Spanish

On the occasion on the exhibition Bacon, Freud and the School of London, Museo Picasso Málaga organized a day to approach the work of the artists in the exhibition, from different perspectives and for all audiences.

PROGRAMME

Paisajes (landscapes). Family workshop
10.30am – 1.30pm. Garden

Whether it was in the studio, the buildings or the streets London, the artists present in this exhibition turned their eyes towards their surroundings, finding inspiration in their nearest circle to create their works. Families participating in this workshop will create private three-dimensional landscapes using different types of paper, cardboard, glues and scissors.

Pinta tu cuerpo (Paint your body). Family Workshop
10.30am – 1.30pm. Fig tree square

The representation of the human body and its pure vitality, as well as the intense experience of painting revealed by the works on display will serve as inspiration for the participants in this workshop. Using brushes and felt-tip pens, we will create a human figure using our own silhouette.

Conoce a los pintores (Meet the painters). Guided tour for families in Spanish
11am and 12pm

Through a selection of works present in the exhibition, we will get to know a group of painters from second half of the twentieth century in London, who focused their interest in representing their closest environment in their work.

Guided tour of the exhibition. For adult audiences in Spanish
1pm. Limited space

A Museum educator will guide this tour through a selection of works by Bacon, Freud and The School of London, that will serve to delve into the key concepts of the exhibition.

Drypoint and Monoprint workshop. For adult audiences
6pm - 7.30pm. Limited space

This activity combines a visit to the exhibition galleries with hands on work in the studio. Beginning with observation and discussion of a series of works produced with engraving.
